My thoughts To The Beautiful You (Korean Version of Hana Kimi)

Hana Kimi has got to be one of my most favourite shoujo mangas of all time. Despite the common shoujo manga cliches I feel that the story is solid, entertaining and just darn good. I've never watched the j-dramas (which someone has been pestering me to watch) to the t-drama but as soon as it was going to become a k-drama I was ecstatic.

I am a big fan of SHINee (Minho) and rookie group EXO so I was excited to know they were casted along with f(x)'s Sulli and various other professional actors. Here is the extended preview:

The thought comes to mind as to whether these idols are competent enough to play their roles.

Plot:

This is the story of Satsuki, a master flowernoid repair specialist whose daily life changes by happening upon a lovely flowernoid. "From now on, I belong to you" the flowernoid claims.
Review:
The interesting story was what first caught my eye, I'm not a a big fan of the fantasy genre because the plot can get messy but I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
I know it is classified as shounen but honestly I feel that it is aimed at a female audience. Although the problem with this manga is it has so much potential and so much other things it can build on but I guess the author and editor chose not to. It has references to the tragic pasts of the two leads, which I think they should consider delving deeper into it and revealing and resolving those issues.
All in all, a great short read that will make you want more. I shall definitely be keeping an eye on this mangaka.
